Board & Management

IXUP is led by a highly experienced board and management team with capabilities in technology and global business leadership.

Board

Julian Babarczy

Non-Executive Chairman

Julian brings over 20 years finance and investment industry experience to the IXUP Board, having spent almost two-thirds of his career as a key member of the portfolio and leadership team of one of Australia’s most successful hedge funds, Regal Funds Management (Regal). Regal has been a long-term shareholder in IXUP.

Julian undertook a range of roles during his tenure at Regal, including Analyst & Portfolio Manager and Head of Australian Equities, and was responsible for investments across a range of sectors, in both listed and unlisted companies. He brings a unique set of skills to the IXUP board, possessing a deep and trusted network spanning the Australian financial industry, as well as a depth of experience in investing and funding high growth companies.

Julian holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Monash University, among other qualifications. He is also currently a director of several public and private Australian companies in various high growths sectors.

Dean Joscelyne

Founder & Non-Executive Director

Dean Joscelyne is an Australian technology entrepreneur who founded IXUP in 2011, taking it from a start-up to a listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2017.

IXUP’s success is a testament to Dean’s insights into the role data has come to play. He combined business acumen with his vision to find new ways for organisations to derive business-critical insights from their data. The outcome is a patented suite of enterprise solutions that enable organisations to work together on their data in a secure, uniquely encrypted environment.

Dean’s vision fueled his commitment to create a security-focused solution, while his determination and unorthodox approach to problem solving have shaped the way he has successfully addressed some of the thorniest issues facing organisations today: how to safely make the most of the vast data they accumulate, and in line with new and emerging regulatory complexity.

Dean has a proven track record of innovation over the past 25 years. In 2007, he established digital agency Destria, which counted among its clients many leading blue-chip companies in the financial services, telecommunications, IT and pharmaceutical sectors. To meet their needs, Dean sought to develop services over and above the traditional agency practices, including the development of in-house software. During this time, his vision and understanding of customer analytics and business processes led him to develop the first generation of IXUP’s unique technology.
